At Buckinghamshire Urgent Care we are committed to monitoring patient welfare and satisfaction and strive to continuously improve our services.
We have recently changed the way we collect patient feedback, to make it easier for patients to tell us how they feel about their experience.
We now offer our patients the choice of completing either a paper-based or electronic questionnaire when they attend the OOH service or MIIU. We also send a questionnaire with pre-paid envelope to all patients that have received telephone advice via the OOH service. This has helped to increase response rates, enabling us to address more patient feedback and further improve our services.
The patient questionnaire is anonymous, but patients who wish to continue discussion of a particular issue, have the option to leave their contact details so that we can follow up to conclusion.
Recent survey statistics show:
Of the 211 patients surveyed, 97.63% would recommend our service (October 2014)
Of the 210 patient surveyed, 98.1% would recommend our service (November 2014)
Of the 295 patients surveyed, 95.9% would recommend our service (December 2014)
*figures are for OOH and MIIU combined. .
What our patient says
We’re receiving great feedback from our patients. Below are just some of the recent responses we’ve received.
Laura Watson about Buckinghamshire Urgent Care, February, 2016Hi, both my sons have needed to be seen by Bucks Urgent Care service in last few days and I can't praise highly enough the service we have received. My baby had a very high temp on Thurs night, had fantastic service from 111 and then by the staff at Stoke Mandeville. Prompt, efficient and very friendly. Yesterday my eldest son started with same symptoms, again had fantastic experience with 111 and appointment made with Bucks Urgent Care. We were seen in Amersham at 8am this morning, again care was of the highest standard. This is a fantastic service that we are very lucky to have. Thank you for looking after my family so well this weekend
A previous Minor Injuries Unit patient, November, 2014I was dealt with efficiently at reception and did not have to wait long to be seen by the friendly and reassuring nurse practitioner. I was dealt with thoroughly and carefully, was given lots of opportunity to ask questions and give details of my condition and was supplied with thorough advice about my treatment. I was very happy with my treatment at the unit.
A previous out-of-hours patient, October, 2014I was not expecting to have an accident and dreaded coming to see someone, waiting for hours, however - it all was so quick and professional. My injury was treated and I was given all the time and attention I thought I needed. Thank you so much.
A previous out-of-hours patient, October, 2014Really satisfied with the service, very quick and caring.
A previous Minor Injuries Unit patient, August, 2014Attended 3rd August. Excellent service. All staff efficient and helpful. Very short time to wait and nurse practitioner professional friendly and sincere. Felt I had to write a review as too often hospitals and their staff get a bad press when they provide an excellent service. Ten out of ten for the minor injuries unit and xray dept.
