Dr. Peter Boast
Peter qualified from Charing Cross Hospital, London in 1980 and, since 1991, has practiced in Chesham as a GP, with an interest in team working. In his role as Medical Manager of Wycombe and District Doctors On Call, he led the development of out-of-hours GP co-operatives in Buckinghamshire from 1992 to 2004. He has a special interest in patient information management.
Prior to his involvement in the NHS John had extensive marketing and general management experience in manufacturing industry. Following this he was recruited into the NHS as a Director of a Health Authority. Subsequently he worked in primary care management and helped to set up CV Health. As Commercial Director, John contributes to strategic development and policy.
Sarah-Jane is the Regional Director for Primary Care, Care UK. Sarah-Jane has worked in Senior Management positions within healthcare and has over 10 years’ experience – working both for Independent Sector and NHS organisations.
Sarah-Jane commenced her career as a Registered Nurse within the NHS where she worked clinically for 15 years. This background ensures a healthy balance between operational and service delivery requirements whilst maintaining a constant focus on meeting patients’ needs and best practice care.
Dr Jonathan Pryse
Jonathan trained at Guy's Hospital, qualifying in 1992, and is currently the Executive Partner at North End Surgery, Buckingham. He has held a number of leadership roles within the NHS, most notably the Urgent Care Lead for the North Locality in Buckinghamshire.
He has also been a Board Member of United Commissioning, a member of the Professional Executive Committee of the Vale of Aylesbury PCT and a QoF Assessor.
Starting in IT and manufacturing engineering, Karen then joined the NHS in the 1990s working in business development. Moving on to consultancy, Karen led business initiatives for many local authorities, NHS organisations and charities including London Borough of Barnet, British Red Cross, and Chiltern Health. She brings her marketing and strategic business skills to her role on the BUC Board.
Dr Russell Kelsey
Russell qualified in medicine from King’s College Hospital Medical School, London, in 1984. He is a GP but for the past ten years he has specialised in out of hours and urgent care medicine. Russell has extensive experience in the development and clinical oversight of urgent care services both in his native New Zealand and in the UK. He oversees the clinical governance of Care UK urgent care services covering a population area of some five and a half million patients. He is a subject matter expert in Out of Hours care provision and has a special expertise in the investigation of serious clinical incidents.

Clinton started with the company as a driver in February 2005 during this time with the company I have covered various roles in the company as a receptionist & call handler.
The position of PCC Supervisor became available which I covered on an acting basis for 3 month in 2007 then went on to cover the acting Visiting Supervisor role for a month when the position was appointed in February 2008, but prior to joining the company worked for a small company for 15 years in the installation, maintenance of credit card authorisation terminals in retail outlets and also training retailers in the use of the terminals & credit card fraud prevention.
Clinton’s current role involves the line management of 24 drivers along with 6 visiting vehicles ensuring the cars are road worthy.
Gemma is the lead ANP for the MIIU and OOH’s service. Gemma has been a qualified nurse for the last 11 years starting her career in A&E and then spent a year outside the NHS working on constructions sites. For the last 6 year she has been working at a GP surgery/Walk in centre and has been in a lead nurse role for the last 5 years before joining Care UK this August.
Lisa has previous Management experience of running busy Call Centres within various sectors, so brings a range of skills to our Organisation. Working at Bucks Urgent Care for nearly 10 years, starting as a Call Handler, to Co-ordinator and now one of the Supervisor Team, her vast experience at ground level helps in the Management of both her team and the service. I manage the busy Out of Hours Coordination Team to aim to provide exceptional quality and Service, ensuring patient satisfaction and meeting our Service requirements. I also provide the links between Bucks Urgent Care and a number of our External Partners, including 111, Iain Rennie and our District Nursing Teams.
Natasha joined us in November 2014 with almost 8 years experience of operational management in the NHS, most recently as the General Manager for T&O, General Surgery and Urology at BHT. Natasha is committed to running an efficient service whilst always ensuring high quality patient care.
Sara has worked for the organisation for eight years after working within the construction, retail and accountancy industries. Sara brings her organisational and leadership skills into her present role to ensure a smooth service is delivered. Sara is responsible for managing a team to ensure that operational and strategic objectives are achieved with an aim that all contractual requirements are met.
Sara is also keen to focus on patient satisfaction and ensuring the service we deliver is of high quality as well as meeting our National Quality Requirements.
